The contract/freelance economy is on the ascent, with 29% of digital professionals describing their roles as contract or freelance—a response fuelled by professionals wanting greater flexibility, autonomy, and a response to the challenges of 2023’s mass layoffs and the escalating cost of living crisis.
Non-negotiables unveiled
Discover the industry’s non-negotiables! We delved into the preferences of both candidates and clients, revealing that a competitive salary and a clear progression plan take the top spots.
While financial stability is crucial, the demand for a well-defined career path from the start is equally significant when faced with choosing between two roles.
Digital candidates are on the move
To gauge the movement of candidates, we asked them when they plan to look for their next role, and the majority of respondents (67%) chose 0-6 months, indicating that if they’re not actively looking now, they soon will be!
