Delivery Manager

Our Client is a business of expert data strategists, architects, engineers, program managers and data scientists, at the forefront of the data revolution.
Their mission is to help our clients unleash the full potential of their data assets and their vision is to become one of the world’s leading data architecture and data engineering firms.

Their client’s headquarters is based in London, and we are looking for a Delivery Manager to lead the delivery on a number of cutting edge machine learning projects.
These currently include developing scalable re-enforcement learning solutions within the MarTech space and a greenfield project to simplify productionisation of feature generation in data science pipelines. Our Delivery Managers are crucial to the success of our client engagements.
You will be comfortable managing large technology projects and enjoy working as part of a team of senior experts solving challenging problems.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for all programme management, including planning, directing, and managing cross-functional team members
• Lead meetings with executive business managers and technology team members to understand business goals, problems and provide solutions
• Facilitate the creation of living roadmaps and program governance structures to ensure the success of all client projects
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules and budgets specifying goals, objectives, strategy, scope, scheduling and risk mitigation strategies
• Accountable for adherence to established delivery standards and industry best practices to ensure successful project delivery leads to the overall program goals being achieved Experience
• Experience working with large technology projects, ideally data engineering or bespoke software
• Experience working in a premium consulting environment
• Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, prioritisation and estimation techniques and collaboration tools such as Jira, Mural
• Expertise working with geographically distributed teams
• Create technical disciplines such as process improvement, data analysis, quality assurance and facilitation

  • Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and optimization of the data warehouse • Advanced data modelling.
  • Troubleshooting data integration issues and working on resolving and clarifying them.

Experience needed:

  • A proven record of accomplishment of developing data warehouses from source data and use of ETL. Preferably with Talend and SQL database technologies 2
  • Excellent knowledge of data modelling techniques and implementing Slowly Changing Dimensions within a data warehouse.
  • Experience of implementing data quality metrics and data governance practices.
  • Knowledge and experience of using REST APIs and working with JSON data.
  • Expert SQL knowledge
  • Strong, demonstrable project management and delivery skills. Preferably with Agile methodologies
  • Experience implementing and enforcing data segmentation and data management policies.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to validate data and troubleshoot issues.
  • Proven ability to lead development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met.

  • You have five year’s hands-on experience of full stack BI development:
